Showcased at the Dubai 2017 Airshow, the design for this first class experience consisted of 2 major parts. 1st designing Door 1 experience and 2nd to design individual suites.

DOOR 1 FOCUSES DESIGN ON SETTING THE TONE THROUGH GRAPHICS, LIGHTING, MATERIALS, AND FINISHES, AND THE OVERALL GOAL IS TO BE A #GAMECHANGER IN LUXURY, INSPIRED BY MERCEDES-BENZ.

“Legendary Oasis” Is the driving concept for the spatial story - a vision of golden sand, sunsets, and stars.

Among the golden sand, the Ghaf tree, the national tree of the UAE stands proud with star inspired leaves.

Graphics and finishes were designed to define and celebrate Emirate Airline’s identity, while being able to enchant guests to an immersive premium flight experience.

IN-FLIGHT INNOVATION

Upon arrival,the center monument greets with an illuminated Ghaf tree on golden wood grain laminate, surrounded by illuminated ceiling panels that highlight the suites’s location. Seemingly simple, these illuminated panel features were innovative for being able to meet weight, manufacturability, flammability, performance, and flight certification.

Adorning the sides and entry into the suites, warm gold panels feature illuminated signage, wayfinding, and accent lighting on the edgeless wood grain flooring. The displayed signage features a front read legibility and side read that vanishes.

RESPONSIVE LED IMMERSION

An experience narrated through thoughtfully designed light scenes that syncs to the scheduled flight itinerary. Setting the tone for moments like rest, eating, waking up and arrival.
